I won't begrudge anyone for shipping Esdev, but y'all are moving real nasty now that the writers are making it clear #ImDev was always a path #Deha was going to take. Instead of hating on Imre and Melis, it might be time to accept Esdev has competition and just enjoy the ride.

Esme is the "escape" Devran WANTS, but Imre is the "escape" Devran needs. He pushes Imre away because he doesn't want to acknowledge the truth, but he's drawn to her in the same breath because she makes him feel understood and a little less crazy.

In other words: #Imdev endgame!

Imre, despite being Devran's "enemy," offers far more support simply by UNDERSTANDING him & vocalizing the reality of his situation: his fam will be drawn to Iskander 1 by 1. There's nothing he can do about it, nor is it his responsibility to stop it. #Deha #Imdev

Devran literally runs away from Esme when he is upset/angry. Why? Bc she dsn't understand.

Esme tries to convince him he has nothing to worry about re: Iskander. She insists his fam won't be drawn in. But he knows it's not tru.

Esme is thus incapable of offering any real emotional support. #Imdev

I agree Esdev is a cute pair! But that's the problem! There's nothing cute about Devran's situation.

Devran can only be around Esme when he's putting on a fake, honky-dory act.
