Japanese indigo plants growing outdoors.

An indigo starter solution in a 1/2 gallon mason jar. The liquid is amber yellow with a thin layer of blue on top.

Two stainless steel pots on a stove. One is full of cotton and linen cloth, the other is full of wool and silk yarns. The fiber is being scoured in preparation for being dyed with indigo.

Not sure what I'm being paid for a 2 hour indigo workshop tomorrow, but I'm confident it doesn't take into account almost a full day of prep and 4 hours of travel time.
