Raw Story reports that a New York Times investigation has blown a hole in Defence Secretary Pete Hegsethβs latest account of a deadly Tue. 02-Sep-2025 drug-interdiction strike. According to the article, Hegseth had already approved contingency rules that allowed commanders to kill survivors if they took βhostileβ actions such as radioing suspected cartel contacts. When two men were left clinging to wreckage after the first strike and one radioed for help, Adm. Frank Bradley allegedly ordered a second strike that killed them under that guidance.
