Hunting grouse for fun is not only cruel, it uses masses of land which could be in communities' hands.

It’s the #inglorious12th when toffs and City bankers start the grouse shooting season, dressing up in tweed and paying up to £5000 per day for the privilege. Moorland heather will have been burnt, many animals, raptors and corvids killed, all to boost grouse numbers. #raptorpersecution

Spectacular skydancing adult male #HenHarrier on #NorthUist this spring. A common sight on the #OuterHebrides but not on UK #grousemoors, where these beautiful birds are ten times more likely to 'disappear'. Illegal killing remains commonplace. Unacceptable. #inglorious12th.
