Norway is extremely dependent on #hydroPower, around 90% of supply. That makes Norway vulnerable to rainfall variations.
The 10% #windPower helps, but not sufficiently, so #interconnectors are crucial, at least until that wind share increases.

When national grid reversed the #interconnectors that was also absorbed. 14 GW of export, 4 GW of nuclear curtailment and 3 GW of pumping. In GB we saw up to 4.5 GW of curtailment in wind assets, also showing off their flexibility.

Yeah, interesting developments. An unlike H2-tech (afaik), battery tech keeps improving. Stationary batteries especially can be made of crazy efficient chemistry combinations, molten salt/metal etc 🤪. Best solutions i think are cross-border #interconnectors. It's always windy/sunny somewhere in EU.
