Made it to work by 7:04. Time for my regularly scheduled binging. This year I'm continuing my #supergirlcw binge with a real life superhero. #IStandWithMelissa

I suffered IPV. For a long time certain events would cause me to flinch or jump. I think of how Melissa would do fight scenes on Supergirl, be punched, held around her neck, & know she was in an IPV situation.
That takes incredible strength. A true Superhero. #IStandWithMelissa

I know there is anger over who perpetuated the IPV against Melissa Benoist.
She didn’t name him & while we don’t know the full reasons why, as a IPV survivor myself, can I ask others don’t give him any credence or power by naming him.
