It was my first time seeing the main room of the venue seated, and oh, does it work a treat and many regulars of this venue even said so. Tommy had a very attentive audience who engaged at all the right times as we were just in awe of his performance and his presence. His guitar playing had us transfixed, and his gravely tone of voice was a dream. It sure was the perfect way to kick off a week of celebrations.A perfect example to always #SupportTheSupportMoments like this when I go to witness the undiscovered of the headliner who brings along a support act I know of but rarely see, definitely brings me joy in being the North East Venue Rep for Independent Venue Week esp when I get to work with brilliant people like Ross and Rob at the venue. This night, I was also joined by long-term IVW volunteer Dave and first timer Nicola. What a dream team of an opening night💫

Big thanks to #SteveLamacq for speaking to wisely about how a positive narrative helps excite and involve people to support an initiative. We've been doing that for 12 years - we still don't have a decent seat at the table sadly though. Maybe that will change now #IVW25 #ILMC #MusicVenues

I was only hired as photographer for 1 of the shows I attended but ofc being a photographer I had to photograph at venues I attended,as this was way I 'gave back' to the venues during #IVW25 -free photography and it was bigger feat than imagined.

#AboutLastNight and that's a wrap on #IVW25

My 4th year as North East Venue Rep on the road has been yet another great ride of life. It's been wonderful getting to know new faces, getting to work with the venues, listening to artists,leading great team of volunteers & talking to gig goers.

All great things must come to an end, and last week’s incredible #IVW25 festivities inevitably came to a close last night.

Day 7 a brilliant way to end an epic #IVW25. Twisted Nipple held an all dayer @ New Adelphi Club in Hull - a female & non binary line up including the brilliant Wench, Jodie Langford who are now on tour & Loose Articles who've been running their Kick Like A Girl sessions.

Really great last (and loudest) #IVW25 gig: Avalanche Party at Voodoo Daddy’s.

Wow that was some evening, a Chartist song to open the evening, informative and inspiring talks by @danwhittall & Judy Cox and a wondrously breathtaking set from Jennifer Reid Great, great audience Thanks all who came along for your enthusiasm. #IVW25
