I'm very confident in my medical team. I'm confident the actual surgery will go well. But some of the horror stories... I know that's the minority of cases, but it's still scary.

I'm not having the surgery for purely cosmetic reasons, although it will be interesting to see how my body changes. It's a last-ditch effort to feel better. Moving is painful. Not moving is painful. My labs are not great. But I still have VERY mixed feelings about it.

So, here's the news. I started taking Zepbound about a month and a half ago. I've lost about 11 pounds, which is fine. But I'm actually taking it in preparation for bariatric surgery. I'm hoping to have a surgical date in late spring/early summer. I'm both excited and terrified.
