Obunsha is well known for publishing the monthly magazine "Hotaruyuki Jidai" for university entrance exam candidates. "Hotaruyuki" is written in kanji as "hotaru" (firefly) and "yuki" (snow), and refers to the image of someone studying hard using the light of fireflies and snow on a window.
