Canon IXY DIGITAL10 / Keisetsu Tenjin (Sugawara no Michizane, the God of Learning, as depicted in the story of the firefly and snow) The building was burned down during the war, but was restored in October 2005 with a donation from Obunsha as "Hotaruyuki Tenjin," the guardian deity for students nationwide who pray for success in their exams. Obunsha is well known for publishing the monthly magazine "Hotaruyuki Jidai" for university entrance exam candidates. "Hotaruyuki" is written in kanji as "hotaru" (firefly) and "yuki" (snow), and refers to the image of someone studying hard using the light of fireflies and snow on a window.
