A character named Vessi challenges Jarlaxle to "wantonly dance" in front of everyone. Artemis jokes and says "He'd do that anyway." Vessi, amused, answers "ok you too, you'll dance with him" and before Artémis could say "nope" Jarlaxle says "OK !"

I tried to draw a scene (the last dialogue this two characters have in the third book of the trilogy) and focus on their facial expressions. On the left side, Artemis, in the light, looking determined and calm. Face to him (on the right side of the picture) Jarlaxle, in the dark, is in shock. Artemis says : « I am finished with you. Your road is your own. And I care not if it takes your to the gates of the nine hells. » so yes : he’s breaking up with Jarlaxle.
The drawing shows two characters, Jarlaxle (a bald drow elf) and Artemis (a human). Artemis has been turned into stone by a medusa. Both of them are in a cave, with a low green light and some rocks. Jarlaxle looks at Artemis statue with a deeply sad face.
I'm obsessed with these two lately, Jarlaxle and Artemis Entreri, especially Jarlaxle. This flamboyant drow lives rent free in my head (I'm not complaining) and he is all I can draw for now.
