Finished Monster Hunter Stories! Yeah I loved this, absolute little gem of a simple RPG, a lot of good basic RPG stuff done right and lots of good early 3D RPG (Quest 64-like) energy too. I'm definitely playing Wings of Ruin sometime later.

While it definitely isn't the modern Breath of Fire someone like me could wish for, Monster Hunter Stories 1 is a really good simple RPG.
It feels like a Quest 64/Holy Magic Century, but with a focus on light monster raising instead of magic stats.
