effe is formerly one half of Brisbane pop duo WIIGZ and the nom de plume for Naarm/Melbourne based alternative pop artist and producer Hannah Brydon. Her debut single 'Chokehold' has just been released and it's a dreamy psych-infused joy that swirls and floats through the ether with a pop brilliance. There is undeniably a shoegaze dream pop influence detectable that bears the fingerprints of the co-producer and co-writer Joe Agius (RINSE, Hatchie), but the velvet, distant vocals and the indelible melodies that permeate the track indicate a prodigious talent.
