The photo is focused on a small sapling, a baby wintergreen tree with thin, curved branches filling most of the screen. Beyond the sapling, you can see a blurred river-side winter scene. There is fresh snow on the ground, leading to the still river, reflecting the purplish/blue sunset color of the sky and the underside of a lift bridge and its control tower. The bridge and tower are made of green metal trusses, making geometric patterns. The top branch of the sapling in the foreground appears to reach as high as the control tower on the left side of the photo.
