Personally I approach this as I do the ebooks vs. physical books "controversy". A matter of personal taste.
I do tend towards paperbacks if I'm at the beach, by the pool, camping, or traveling. A matter of weight.

First finished read of the year and it wrecked me! So good. One of those books that you don’t want to end. #justkeepreading
Recent reading history: "Martyr!" (Akbar), "There There" (Orange), and "The Sympathizer" (Nguyen).
All three of these books are fascinating. And, they are all challenging for the reader - in the best ways possible.
I plan to start "Say Nothing" (Radden Keefe) tomorrow.
