Been playing Subnautica. We need macro orcas / ocean kaiju that use their tiny friends as live bait.
Their friends are too small and adorable to eat, but they can be used to lure bigger prey in. I'm sure the kaiju is fast enough to grab their prey before the tinies are eaten...

Greg here. Something a lot of people can't grasp is just how *terrifying* it is to be a kaiju.
Houses and buildings might as well be made of the most fragile glass...you have to check for people every time you try to take a step...and if you fire the energy beam at the wrong time...

One of the breakthroughs with the bugs on my planet was reaching an agreement.
They'd organize modest shipments of food to be delivered outside of their hives, and I'd stop chasing food trucks through those way-too-narrow streets.

Need a kaiju that's only interested in attacking cities because it loves fighting the armies.
When it comes across some helpless town defended by a few desperate people with pistols, it just gives a dejected look and stomps off, leaving the place untouched.
