Haiji continues “This way,” an image of his teenage years in pain appears “I’m guarenteed to reach you”. Kakeru looks back at an insecure looking Haiji, an image of Kakeru he stole bread from the convenience store appears.

Kakeru grabs onto Haiji, as rhetorical scene reminiscent of their first meeting at the vending machines appear. Kakeru says, “But Haiji-san, even without the sand slowing us down you’ve reach me so many times.” Haiji responds with a comforted look.
