Hasui Kawase "Spring Moon at Ninomiya Beach" (1932) depicts a solitary figure walking along the edge of the sea under a full moon. The moonlight is reflected on the water and the crest of a breaking wave, as well as the branches of the pine trees that dominate the right side of the composition. The palette uses muted shades of green, blue, and black. Description: The print is a luminous and atmospheric coastal landscape, a style for which Hasui was well known. It depicts a quiet, moonlit shoreline scene in the shin-hanga ("new prints") style, which blends traditional Japanese subjects with Western-influenced atmospheric effects and natural lighting. A large, dark pine tree frames the right side of the composition, with its branches reaching across the night sky. The full moon is high in the sky, casting shimmering reflections on the ocean water as gentle waves break on the sand. A single, small, silhouetted figure is visible walking along the edge of the sea, emphasizing a sense of solitude and tranquility

I felt like throwing in a quick sketch (even though it wasn't quick... It took me more than three hours xD)! I have so many sketchbooks that I want to fill with drawings and sketches, but every time I sketch something in them, I always end up making it digital. At the end of the day, I completely forget about those sketchbooks, and when I look at them after some time, I feel bad about it.
