Oh goodness—wow! Found a fantastic Cajun spot in KC at 34th & Main, just off the Streetcar—Swifts on Main. Cheesy shrimp & grits and fried basa with Cajun rice were delicious. Heat can be dialed up or down without losing flavor. High on the yum scale!

Tried the new Cru restaurant in Brookside last night. Extremely impressed. The menu has both Italian and French influences with date night prices. Definitely recommend and a great wine addition to the neighborhood.

BoRU is a local asian eatery stapled in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City. It’d been awhile since eating here and honestly, not sure why. Great place. Affordably priced.

I’m always up for a good burger, but not eating beef does create a challenge. However, I found the perfect option for meat lovers and non-meat eaters. Burger State in Kansas City is the best that I’ve come across in the city. It’s so good! Nice and juicy! ❤️

The Belfry in the heart of downtown Kansas City is the perfect place for a relaxed and fun Friday night. Great drinks, food and even pool tables for the win! Located at the corner of 16th and Grand. Gotta check it out.

If you’re in the mood for an affordable local Tex-Mex, you definitely should try Tiki Taco. An a la carte menu and my fave item is the chicken chimi. We went to the Troost location, but there are 3 in the metro. A great patio for warmer weather too.
