Gisela Stille 🤩 a reflective Feldmarschallinn, Patrick Zielke a very good Ochs, Jens Søndergaard wonderfully Wotan-like as von Faninal, and young Clara Cecilie Thomsen a promising Sophie. But Marie Jaquot conducted #kglkapel perfectly🤩🤩🤩
Having heard #kglkapel play a version fir woodwind today, I needed a piano version of the Goldberg variations, and Vikingur’s is my preferred one these days: app.idagio.com/albums/j-s-b...
Seven Brass musicians on stage.
Just back from fantastic recital by #kglkapel (Danish Royal Orchestra), including new piece written for original cast from 1448😎
Lovely production by Kasper Holten & Philip Fürhofer. Matteo Lippi aced Cavaradossi. Drama queen Tosca well sung by Marigona Qerkezi. And of course #kglkapel 🤩🤩🤩

Just back from gloriously played Sacre - Marie Jacquot conducted #kglkapel & the applause was thunderous 👏👏👏
So, I’m off to the Opera for the first concert this season with #kglkapel (Danish Royal Opera Orchestra) & Marie Jacquot with this programme 😎
Per Nørgård: Lysning
Richard Strauss: Tod und Verklärung
Gustav Mahler: Symfoni nr. 4
Due to work, I had arrived back from the US earlier in the day & was totally jet lagged when I went to the Opera for #kglkapel concert. I found my seat but was unable to read the programme. In came Tetzlaff, the concerto played & I managed to stay awake but don’t remember anything but that. 🙄2/2
Programme on window sill with a view North from the Royal Danish Opera.
My turn to attend Bent Sørensens opera Asle og Alida, based on Norwegian novelist Jon Fosse’s book. Much recommended by many, including my ex-boss who I met on my way here😎

I’m debating whether to go to a concert again this evening. It’s in my neighbourhood but with visitors from Norway: Bergen Treblåsensemble B3, so I’m curious & tempted despite still high from last night’s #kglkapel concert.

Today’s technically a public holiday, but I’ll spend the evening with people hard at work at the Opera. Marie Jacquot conducts #kglkapel in Mozart + a new piece by Signe Lykke with Jesper Busk Sørensen as soloist🤩

On a rainy Sunday, I’ll enjoy some Bartok & Schubert played by wonderful musicians in the old Royal Theatre in Copenhagen 😎

Curtain call after a fabulous performance of Die Meistersinger at #kglteater. Wonderful soloists, wonderful choir, and the glorious #kglkapel in the pit🤩 Bravi tutti👏👏👏
This evening, I’m #NowPlaying Nielsen. Specifically a couple of the discs on Royal Danish Orchestra #kglkapel collection. Streaming version among others at app.idagio.com/albums/carl-nielsen-conc...
Donizetti this evening, and we celebrate Gisela Stille’s 25 year anniversary at #kglteater as well😎

Debussy, Ravel, Royal Danish Orchestra - perfect Friday evening, eh?
#kglteater #kglkapel
Dang it! Fischer brings Wagner to his Danish Chamber Orchestra, but I'm already booked for Schubert's 9th with Bolton & #kglkapel that same evening 🤷♀️

I was at a second attempt of the #kglteater prod of Tristan & Isolde today. Still don’t like the production, but the #kglkapel were on fire again😎 (picture from balcony foyer)
I was this evening at symphony concert with #kglkapel (Royal Danish Opera Orchestra) & Osmo Vänskä in music by Nielsen, Sibelius, Grieg. Plus an encore that I know but don’t remember what is🙄. But FABULOUS concert, this one!

Opening night for Tristan & Isolde at #kglteater this evening. Great cast (Stephen Milling!), but as so often, the real heroes were in the pit! #kglkapel #wagner #RoyalDanishOperaOrchestra
I just heard #kglkapel salute Ann Petersen when she came out for our applause after yet another fabulously sung #Ariadne. Never saw them do that before (except for anniversaries), so it was probably due to today’s show being the last one?

Yesterday, I was at the #kglteater for a celebration of 575 years of the #kglkapel (Royal Danish Opera Orchestra) with 5 brass musicians & 1 percussionist, introduced by Henrik Engelbrecht. Fun, and lovely music played gloriously🤩
