Néanmoins c’est intéressant et plaisant de « lire » #KillerJoe par le prisme du conte sinistre et sordide : Juno Temple est une jeune fille qui attend désespérément le prince charmant et tombe sur Joe le manipulateur, Gina Gershon campe la vilaine belle-mère, etc etc

Impossible de ne pas penser aux frères Coen devant #KillerJoe mais c’est tout de même une gamme en dessous, notamment en termes d’emphase. Et les Coen rendent ça plus digeste grâce au ton et à leur humour si caractéristique.

Revu #KillerJoe et un peu déçu lors de ce second visionnage avec ces personnages de rednecks miteux pour lesquels on peine à développer la moindre empathie (Hirsch surtout). McConaughey est charismatique avec sa traditionnelle mystique et la scène du poulet frit est inoubliable.
