i haven’t quite worked out the exact lore for Kit’s parents but his father would have been his sire — and Kit would have been “kit” (as in like, child), which is partly why he adopts it as a name after leaving the wood

ok so i have always had #kitlore that Kit's feelings towards Mara are Complicated™ after they meet up again— he realises he's jealous of G'raha and feels very strongly towards Mara, and through getting to know her again he realises that maybe before the calamity he might have been in love with her
