The VOHD volumes (catalogues of the #KOHD project) do not utilise a consistent transcription system for Ottoman-Turkish. This raised the question of which system should we follow in the #Qalamos project.

The 2nd phase of the #Qalamos project also focuses on the retro-conversion of catalogues describing Ottoman-Turkish manuscripts. These consist of five vols. that were created during the project #KOHD. They comprise exclusively manuscripts from the holdings of @stabiberlin.bsky.social.

A significant part of our work concerning data quality consists of curating person-related datasets. In particular, for the manuscript datasets from Indian writing cultures imported from #KOHD, we still have to generate a lot of name authority files.🖥️🔧
