Felt like a weird tonal shift from the first book, which, despite its criticisms, I enjoyed. This one was a little bit of a miss for me, but not enough to give it two stars… perhaps it was the absence of one of the translators? Ultimately unsure.

The Ruins, whose movie adaptation I’d watched awhile back, was pretty much exactly what I expected, but was still immensely effective. Love an environmental horror story whose message is as clear as this one. Ring is next!

Just finished watching Ring: The Final Chapter, the 12 episode Japanese drama adaptation of Koji Suzuki's Ring novel. I really enjoyed it! Although it did feel a little padded in the middle. But an interesting take on the story.
