Sus pantalones, inspirados en la prenda tradicional kurda masculina, son intencionadamente holgados, lo que ayuda a romper las siluetas corporales y a reducir la visibilidad ante la detección térmica utilizada por aviones y drones. Además, permiten libertad de movimiento sobre terreno rocoso y senderos empinados, haciendo que el uniforme sea funcional y esté adaptado al paisaje que habitan a diario. Los accesorios también reflejan este equilibrio entre necesidad e identidad. El cinturón entre la camisa y el pantalón suele ser la faja kurda de colores, aunque a veces lo sustituyen por una faja elástica para la munición cuando participan en operaciones.
