Today's 14c ride featured some holidaymaker crap driving (impatient, selfish) and a stop to repair a front wheel puncture on an e-bike. I always carry a tube AND s/a patches, and though couldn't get front wheel off (no q/r), took minutes to unhook tyre find thorn, stick a patch. Yay! SOS #lePerche

Today's cycle involved trying to find a flat route (difficult in #lePerche ) as I seem to have annoyed my left knee.

No queue at market. Everyone in good moods. Usual folk in the cafe, then off across country to see friends dance in renaissance gear at another local Christmas market. No traffic, though parking there was more busy.

Yesterday a bat bombed about in front of the house and took refuge in the gap where our porch light fits.
Then a European Hornet terrified Théodore, battering the window last night (attracted to light), then this a.m suicidal game birds leapt out of the grass in front of a vizsla!

At our restaurant lunch this week, the proprietor said they'd just come back from a holiday, staying in Chipping Camden.
I mentioned that there was a newspaper article last year describing #lePerche as the French Cotswolds, and she mentioned that their children had said 'This is just like home'😄
Sandra met a group of Brits at the supermarket today. I suspect the XJS one pair were driving dragged her in (she loved ours) and went full #lePerche tourist agency on them. Moulins, châteaux, festival musical restos.
I'm wanting her to discourage folk😀

Today's 21c (yup) ride through the stunning #lePerche for coffee with Sandra was accompanied by a 'Soft 80s' mix.
Also featured my knees, elbows and fingers! Full summer kit.
And coming back had one of those flashbacks of watching the TdF in the 80s and saying 'I'd love to ride there'😁😁
Today's 16c ride through #lePerche ensoleillé featured the first appeance this year of my knees.
Supercorsa rather than Flying Scot, so 10 speed cassette rather than 6 speed freewheel.
Accompanied by @smershpod.com on 'Get Carter'. Appropriate because cycling helps a big guy not be in bad shape.
#lePerche is your friend. 4 definite seasons, not often too hot in summer to cycle, great roads, beautiful scenery, generally careful drivers and welcoming locals.
