Existing #leaseholds should be changed to commonholds and ground rents changed to peppercorns (1p). This would be make leaseholders have more disposable income, which would be a great benefit to average people and a sure fire way to get votes and a sort of wealth tax and redistribution.

I hope this finally gets through. However the ban is only on new leaseholds and doesn’t appear to offer help to the many stuck on horrible leaseholds. We need a bill to tackle current exploitation of leaseholders.
