I earned level 100 and received the Drakon's Ire set for Legion Commander in Dota 2. It took me a couple months (and almost 100 turbo games, which I normally don't play) to earn this set. I even created a spreadsheet a couple weeks ago to figure out the fastest way to earn levels (and also to see if it was actually feasible to earn enough XP before the event was over. Along the way, I met a little kid (maybe tween?) that wanted to be friends and play together a lot. Since I almost always played Legion Commander, he wanted to try (and to learn how to get good). Wanted to be on voice chat to talk to me, but kept muted because I think he didn't want to give away how old he was. But also, he was playing stuff like Poppy's Playtime and asking me to watch. Kinda made me feel like when I was playing League of Legends with my kid ages ago, or spending time with my nephew now. Turbo is a completely different game from "normal" Dota - it plays faster, and it feels like there are skirmishes everywhere and no real strategy. I think that plays to my strengths, because this hero hides in the shadows and ambushes the back lines of the enemy team that thought they were safe. It's been a fun time, but I think I need to get serious about the game and get my rank back up to where it belongs.
I did a thing.
