#leojami Jamil having had time to grow accustomed to wealth, Leona mellowed by Jamil's comfortable joy at being royalty without having to rule.
Jamil's long dark hair and long dark clothes. Leona's got grey in his hair, steely along him temples.

Jamil was not sure why Rabbit had taken him in as his 'protogee', but he was happy to learn about the wonders of growing your own garden. As Rabbit went on and on about every rule, the boy was daydreaming about all the curry he could make with a wheelbarrow worth of vegetables. Pooh had always been a bear of very little brain, but this particular game Leona called 'ches' was proving to be even harder than his daily honey counting. The boy had beaten him three times already. "Maybe you should try to imagine the pieces as honey pots," the boy suggested. "That, Leona, is a very good idea." And so Pooh bear started to think, and think, and think, all the way to page 21. The text is accompanied by two drawings, one of a younger Jamil Viper listening to Rabbit in his carrot patch, the other of Winnie and a younger Leona playing chess. Pooh bear is tapping his head saying "Think...", "Think...", "Think..."

He turned around from the giant family portrait on the wall to find the owner. Leona was leaning against the center table, arms crossed, face unreadable. “Maybe,” Jamil said, keeping his tone level. “You certainly looked a lot more innocent in them than you are now.” The corners of Leona's mouth curled up. He leaned back on his hands nonchalantly. For a moment he didn't say anything, eyes roaming over Jamil before settling behind him on the painting, studying it. The movement had caused Leona's bangs to fall into his face, covering his scarred eye, and Jamil tried to swallow down the weight of regret that settled in his stomach for his comment. It seemed that no matter how hard he tried, no matter how much Leona had hurt him, he couldn't bring himself to return the favour. Not about this. “Well,” Leona finally spoke up, looking at him with the same vulnerability Jamil had seen only once before.
