My first piece from the Let’s Make Art National Parks course. Zion National Park. This one was a lot of fun. Also, granulating watercolors are now my favorite!

Look what arrived today! I preordered this National Parks Watercolor course/kit this past winter. I’m excited to give all of these tutorials a go!

Happy Pride Month to all. #BlueSkyArtShow Vibrant Saturday #LetsMakeArt #watercolor
It’s funny. I can hate one of my own paintings so much right after completion. But if I give myself a couple days, it usually grows on me.
Like Sara Cray likes to say, I’m not mad about it.

Trying to paint a little more often. Here’s my take on a Sarah Cray/ Let’s Make Art Tutorial.
There are things I would change if I try it again, but I am glad I gave it a go.

Painted this today ☺️
My mental health has been a bit bad lately and kind of made me believe I can’t paint. So it’s nice trying it again

An image of a painting of Yosemite painted in gouache using Daniel Smith paints in black, blue, magenta, yellow and white. A photo of the reference art is also included in the top left of the photo.
I hadn’t opened the paints in a while, so I also spent some time using gouache to paint Yosemite today. Shout out to #Letsmakeart for their amazing National Park boxes. This was my fourth painting in the series. Can’t wait to see her in person in August.
Guten Morgen ☕️ Draw Tip tuesday mit Koosje Koene #drawtiptuesday #buntstift #watercolor #letsmakeart
Two watercolour paintings are pictured clipped with mini clothespins to a wire grid inside a black frame. The small painting in the top left of the photo is described on the on the second photo in this post. It is styled after the larger painting in the photo. The sky blends from blue to yellow to pinky orange. There are two lines of blue hills in the background along the horizon line and then a row of dark green trees in front of them. The field in front of those trees has a misty appearance above the green and brownish grasses of the foreground. There is a road or path on the bottom right of the painting leading between trees. On the left is a single tree with a similarly sized tree or bush on the right side of the road. Behind the tree on the right of the road is a tall leafy tree in varying shades of green and yellow to represent the leaves. It reaches almost to the top of the painting. In the sky is a small whitish crescent moon near the top left.
A watercolour painting with a blue sky blending into pink and soft yellow. The horizon line has green trees and bushes along it. There is a post and wire fence diagonally across the paper in front of it. A large tree is on the right side of the painting with a tire swing hanging underneath it on the fence side of the tree.
It’s been awhile since I spent any time with my #watercolour but today I wanted to #paint. I painted the 8x10 with the road last summer from a tutorial by #letsmakeart #SarahCray. Today I decided to see what I remembered from it to try to create a similar scene. I’m really happy with it. 🎨
