And here it is, your moment of wren...
This Pacific wren brightened my day a bit.

Came across this very vocal Seller's jay on today's walk. 🪶 #USbirds #thursjay #lincolnparkSEA #westseattle #fauntleroy

Spotted towhees are not rare at all in Seattle, but in my experience they're usually pretty shy. This vibrant male, though, was very curious about me when I walked by, and escorted me along the trail. 🪶 #USbirds #lincolnparkSEA #westseattle #fauntleroy #towhee #birdsofseattle
"Just" a barred owl I stumbled upon off an inner trail in the park this morning. If you listen with sound on, you'll hear a raven pair calling to each other, and an Anna's hummingbird chastising the owl. Plus kids playing and a dog barking, because city park.

Song sparrow perched on red branch of an incense cedar
I heard so many birds singing Thursday, with the sun bursting through the clouds, mist all around, and steam rising from melting snow puddles. Loudest and sweetest was this song sparrow facing the sun from its cedar perch.

Varied thrush perched on lichen-covered twisted branch
Female golden-crowned kinglet stretching for the very best lichen
Song sparrow on ground, giving "blue steel"
Took my "real" camera and a new lens to the park today. Of course it was one of those days where I heard far more than I saw, but not bad overall. The lens is fun, but so heavy!

Brown creeper exploring bark crevices on an oak trunk
Male golden-crowned kinglet facing camera, head down looking for insects on path
Varied thrush, brown creeper, and a fearless golden-crowned kinglet from today's park walk. The GCKI came to me; I crouched down ~10' away and he was too focused on bugs to care about my presence. Unusual, in my experience! #bird #USbirds #wildlife #seattle #westseattle #lincolnparkSEA #pixel8pro
(Click to expand--didn't realize Bluesky defaults to landscape orientation.)

So many golden-crowned kinglets out on the park paths today, foraging for easy pickings 🐛🦗🪲
Caught this one right as he started in on an earthworm 🪱
Taken with my phone camera, zoomed from ~20' to not disturb his meal.

A Pacific wren on a small fallen tree limb, surrounded by moss and decaying leaves
My goal this winter has been to get a good picture of a Pacific wren. This is the best I've managed so far. These guys are *teeny tiny* and in my observation love burrowing through forest floor debris like little mice, never stopping. #bird #USbirds #birdsofseattle #fauntleroy #wren #lincolnparkSEA
