Los Audaces del Ritmo from Tabasco, Mx have such a wonderful Caribbean vibe to their rhythms and melodies. You can hear their influence in bands like Los Karkiks, which in turn brought the sound to Nicaragua.

This 1990-91(?) cut is the Tropical Cumbia sound of the Mexican Gulf states. Caribbean touches, especially on the bass and timbales. The guitar is exceptional, as is the reverbed vocal.
