Is it just me, or is the Apple TV series Shrinking based on one of Tammy Golden and Jon Adams’ “Lighter Side” strips on page 32 of MAD volume two, number three (October 2018)?

There was a very controversial mad bonus in a MAD magazine special, possibly in the early 70s, that bluntly pointed this out. It’s too controversial for me to upload it.

There is an old MAD magazine parody that is close to this. I can’t remember when or which issue!

I’m showing my age, but as a child I thought they were strange covers. They didn’t fit with the contents. Having said that, I still bought them because I hadn’t yet read the early issues of MAD. I read somewhere that William Gaines didn’t like the covers. #madcoversite will know.
Different countries selling military arms lined up like supermarket check outs.
The second part of the artwork by Bob Clarke. #madmagazine, #madcoversite #bobclarke
Different nations line up in supermarket lines to buy weapons
This is a bigger art work. Part two in next post. It must have been published somewhere. #madmagazine #madcoversite #bobclarke
I sometimes forget how intensely political and controversial Mad Magazine could be, all disguised by funny drawings and a grinning A E Neuman. There should be a boo k of the “serious” stuff. I remember a piece on the decline of small shops, drawn by Harry North Esq, it had no jokes. #madcoversite
A cartoon of a driver distracted by a small falling rock and driving over a cliff. The sign in the foreground says “watch for falling rocks”.
This is by Bob Clarke, but I don’t remember it from Mad Magazine. Does anyone know where it was published? #bobclarke #madcoversite #madmagazine
It’s tricky. In some cultures arriving on time is like arriving rudely early. There’s a Dave Berg about that. #madcoversite #daveberg #madmagazine
Water colour (?) painting of some flowers.

Done on thin tracing paper.

Please excuse me if this doesn’t work very well… this is the first time I’ve tried to do a thread.
It’s about some original Mad Magazine artwork by Bob Clarke.
