(Book review) >Tacos, Toys, and New Neighbors< I'm here for the instant sparks between Griffin King and Ava Milano when Griffin and Levi move in next door to Ava. Admittedly, I like that dates with others occur when they aren't in a relationship. It's realistic and appreciated. -- Book quote 'I stifle a laugh at how adorable this woman is mad. ... Her tank top reads, “If you hate tacos, I’m nacho type.”' -- Griffin King As much as I like the love story, I'm torn between the punny taco t-shirts and the insta-love between eight-year-old Levi and mischief making pup Maverick as my favorite part of this. There's also the "sword" fight with 🍆 toys that Ava sells as a side hustle that is priceless. The puns and "sword" fight are hilarious, but the love between a boy and (not) his dog.... Fine, Levi and Maverick win that title. 🙎♂️🐶 I get being affected by multiple cheating exes, but it may have been harped on too much for my liking. OK, it was too much for me. She acknowledges that they really were duds, and she should've moved on sooner. In my opinion, the issues it causes are a little overdrawn. It's the only thing that really didn't work for me. I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Marlaina Garrett and Duncan Prescott. I enjoyed listened to both of them. Ava comes with a thick accent that both do a pretty good job with. Story: 4 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 28; h = 24
