A typical martini glass on an ugly corian counter in front of a tannish backsplash below a nice red wall. But I digress. The glass is garnished with a metal pick holding two submerged and frankly forgettable olives. The real star is the clear, colorless cocktail containing lovely long, pointed shards of ice that will disappear in less than a minute. A lesson in impermanence to be sure.
