Someone had to do it, just finished watching #masterkeaton #anime couldn't find the complete #manga scans so just went with the anime but was worth it, still have the 15ep ova to get to but had to do this one

The conversation based on the books assumed way of reading just the speech bubbles Hans: I know , I can't run. Keaton: But what 1 your rose colored life?! Keaton: the French border isn't far. Hans: But... Keaton: Run Away! Hans: ... the distance between this line and the next one forces my eyes to dart from the right most side of the page to the left instantly. Hans: I don't need anything else, but.. Hans: I can't... My family pictures are in that room. Keaton: ... example: this page wants us to start top right & end bottom left.

but the flow dialogue bubbles & positioning some of the panels feels like my eyes have to unnaturally and sharply jump between panels. (it might just be a me problem tho)

Just started V2 of #MasterKeaton & the pacing for the stories isn't much better... it's almost too wrapped up in the historical trivia & just kinda ends abruptly.

but the worst thing for me is the paneling & speech bubbles. I'm not sure if it reads better in Japanese but in English it's a mess.

So, I've gotten into the #MasterKeaton series.

the pacing feels weird, and I can't tell if it's the panel layout or the way some of the speech bubbles are arranged... but the flow is weird.

But the history tidbits and Keaton himself, is pretty interesting. Let's hope volume 2 improves.
