It was a joy to attend #MathsConf38. Life as a tutor can be lonely, no colleagues to observe or bounce ideas off and it was lovely to be among like-minded others. Thank you all.
Here is a thread of me looking tired and warm at #MathsConf38. Thanks for coming along Sam :)

A bit late but big thanks to @lasalleed.bsky.social , @aqaeducation.bsky.social and @oupress.bsky.social for another great #mathsconf #mathsconf38. Loved catching up with old and new contacts, some great sessions from @krisboulton.bsky.social @alcmaths.bsky.social and @ljohns6.bsky.social
Oh I had a look at my Maths past papers folder on my OneDrive and found loads more of what you mentioned to me yesterday at #MathsConf38 with a few more answers!
I'll did deeper with this folder and then share it with you?
I presented a session called 'The Power of Stories' at #MathsConf38 yesterday.
This has now been recorded and added to my web site at taylorda01.weebly.com, under the tab 'Stories', with the stories on the page too.
Please share your stories with me so I can add them too!
Really enjoyed yesterday’s #mathsconf38 - from quickly calculating dates in a different century to the most gorgeous surd questions, I’ve had lots to think about!
Best of all, it was great to see everyone - especially at an Ormiston School 💕.
4+ hour journey home after an amazing #Mathsconf38 🚆
Time to PLOT my next move and start crafting fresh questions. Let’s FACTOR in some thinking time… #x²−7x+10
It’s PRIME time for planning! 🤭

Always love a MathsConf and #MathsConf38 did not disappoint! Nice to see lots of friendly faces and as always the workshops I attended were brilliant. Thank you to @jemmaths.bsky.social, @blatherwicksam.bsky.social, @taylorda01.bsky.social and @mathsjem.bsky.social for all the ideas...
Excellent day at #mathsconf38. Lots of new ideas that I now wouldn't mind adapting and seeing in action! Looking forward to London (might treat myself to a weekend away!)
Just delivered my first maths workshop at #MathsConf38 and I’m buzzing! Being 10% braver is HARD but so worth it.💪
Thank you to everyone who came along. Keep an eye out for resources and join the challenge! @nathanday.bsky.social has set the bar high! 🔥 #InterweavingMaths

After feeling fairly under the weather this week, it was great to get along to #MathsConf38 today, to present: "A workshop based on only two questions..."
A packed room, incredible discussions, amazing learning and dozens of new strategies!
An amazing day as ever!
Fabulous session from @arithmaticks.bsky.social on the ubiquity and adaptability of ratio tables. Can't wait to hear the sequel, which I believe is about how formula triangles are even better.

Love love loved today at #MathsConf38 🤩 thank you as always to @lasalleed.bsky.social for planning it, and to all the brilliant people who spoke and shared their expertise and ideas. Always so humbled by how many brilliant maths educators give up their Saturdays to come to these. ❤️
I had a great time today at #MathsConf38.
I particularly enjoyed @ljohns6.bsky.social's workshop about connecting concepts.
At the end we were challenged us to come up with a question featuring the expression 𝑥² − 7𝑥 + 10.
Here's what I came up with.
#mathsconf38 was ace, and continues to be ace, and continues to be an awesome community that I learn so much from ☺️
Lovely time at #mathsconf38 My takeaways were definitely going to look into more about ratio tables. Loved using them for inverse proportion. Going to use more etymology. Also going to look into visualisers. (For future first timers you get free lunch and coffee)
Ack! Forgot the tags.

Nice problems around abstracting (is that a word?) worded problem into bar models and how you would put them together #mathsconf38
"what could this represent? if the bar is 100 could it be 10 and 90?" #mathsconf38
