Perfect day to readjust the turntable. Since the Yamaha Vinyl 500 has no VTA, I adjusted the record height. My felt mat had sagged, so I added a cork layer. It’s quite high now in total, but apparently the setup needs it.

After struggling with some records not tracking properly, I discovered that the felt mat was too thin, preventing the needle from making proper contact. Adding a new rubber mat fixed the issue; now all the records play perfectly.
