I grew up with Mario, and Super Mario Galaxy 1 was my first real 3D Mario game. I loved the visuals, and the soundtrack from Brian Tyler was utterly phenominal! While I understand the many flaws this movie has, from the overreliance on references/nostalgia, the lackluster story, Rosalina not having a lot of screen time, and the pacing causing the movie to feel all over the place and rushed, the movie has just as many good parts to it! The voice cast does a phenominal job, the new voice for Bowser JR, Brie Larson as Rosalina, Jack Black as Bowser, and even Donald Glover as Yoshi do a spectacular job. The writing, despite the utterly insane plot twist, is pretty solid, and it has a lot of charm and heart. It's on par with the first one, but I was hoping for a little bit more. In the end, it's ok if you're not a Nintendo Fan, but an utter blast if you are one. Also I just want a new animated Mario series with this voice cast.

Like the first one, this movie has a lot of pacing issues and an overreliance on nostalgia and references. But that's fine with me, since this movie was a blast to watch!

I went into this already skeptical from all the talk around it, but I genuinely didn't expect the 'This movie was paced for youtube shorts kids' to be actually true. Things go by LIGHTNING FAST. Hell some characters are introduced and either dropped or are stick arounds instantly without question. The dynamics between characters feel so first draft. The movie just keeps going without letting you digest the potential for a plot point back to back to back. I wish I could get more descriptive, but you genuinely just have to see it for yourself. Whether you watch it in theaters or otherwise, you'll probably get some kick out of it, but it isn't a good movie at all. This was a movie that feels like it was crafted to be clipped and shared online with how many times they attempt to do a scene then suddenly kick the situation up to 200. I'm usually not one to be bothered by lightning fast pacing of a movie, but Galaxy put that to a test. idk how ima feel about this in the long run.

Because I’m a big baby my only experience with the original game is through video essays but despite that I really enjoyed this movie and the way it expanded on what was already there in an interesting way. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you have the chance!

I enjoyed the my time with the game, it’s a short but sweet platforming beat em up. Some aspects can get a bit stale though, especially if you go for 100%. And the bosses were all pretty easy but that’s whatever. I’d recommend playing through it if you’re interested.

I really enjoyed this one. A short series with a bittersweet ending. The finale made me cry a lot.

A couple of aspects I enjoyed was the character development of the protagonist Noriko, and the emphasis placed on time dilation effects and how it impacts the characters.
