1. Assessment of #cognitive function is a key part of #dementia diagnostic process- but many people attending #MemoryClinic have #VisualImpairment. Standard cognitive tests have vision-dependent items which often get omitted, leaving gaps in the assessment and making scores difficult to interpret

Bradford District Care Trust senior leadership event today, looking at how we can use AI to improve productivity and service quality. #IAPT services already using this, have reduced wait times and sustained recovery rates even though referrals up 20%. Could we use similar in #memoryclinic?

Another use of the Hearing Impaired MoCA today- the person in clinic was unable to hear, to the point that history was taken using written notes- but MoCA-HI still enabled a meaningful assessment of cognitive functioning to be completed. #cognitiveassessment #memoryclinic
