I genuinely love Season 5 so much. The tension, the trust Merlin and Arthur have in each other being so much more obvious here than in past seasons. The desperation in Merlin making him harder.
I just. I really love it, dammit. I always have.
Right up until that last little bit. 😭

There are some moments of this season (besides the obvious) that have stuck with me in a particularly brutal sort of way, and what Merlin does in The Disir is one of them.
