Michigan Avenue Trail Michigan Avenue Trail From Harewood Rd to Monroe Rd NE Project Overview This Michigan Avenue Trail project will upgrade the existing sidewalk facility on the north side of Michigan Avenue NE from Harewood Road NE to Monroe Street NE (.2 miles). The project will expand the existing 5-foot sidewalk to a 10-foot-wide shared use path and will connect to the existing trail on the West side of Harewood Road NE. This multiuse trail will fill an important gap in our protected bikeways network by providing a connection to the new protected bike lanes on Monroe Street NE and the protected bike lanes on Irving St NE.
