The Opposition Force from BattleTech Aces Scouring Sands painted by Airylan. They're painted in the Jade Falcon Eta Galaxy scheme of green with black panels, with red cockpits. The force is two tanks, a Howler, a Locust IIC, Rifleman IIC, Thunderbold IIC, Summoner, Marauder IIC, and Bane 3
Finished up the Jade Falcon opposition force for my #BattleTech Scouring Sands campaign. Tried out Vallejo Xpress Colour over a grey prime, wash, and dry brush underpainting. Would've benefitted from more manual placement of light and shadow, but I'm happy enough.

I painted these up as gifts and now they have been received, I can post these pictures. One is Princess, the Dice Wizard (based on the Necrovite Starfinder mini from Archon) and the other is a Jackal in Stargateish style from Warmachine Mini Crate.

Blood Angels 2nd edition 1500 point army all together. I've had many of these for decades and they finally look the way I always wanted. (Apologies for the lengthy alt text, but I have a lot of details to add) There is a monopose Tactical Squad with flamer and missile launcher, as is the way. There is a 5 Marine Terminator squad with assault cannon and two chain fists - this was a metal box set once upon a time. Chaplain from 2nd edition era. Captain from the 3rd edition era? Multipart Captain kit. Dreadnought from the Assault on Black Reach set though it's barely different from the 2nd edition metal brick. Techmarine from an edition I didn't play with too many arms. And Lexicanum Varus as a Dark Angel seconded to this force. If I add to this force at any point, I will add a 2nd edition Land Speeder, 2nd edition era Librarian and Techmarine, and a Death Company. I don't have any of those models yet so I'd have to source them. I might have all the parts to a Devastator squad, and a second monopose Tactical Squad. But for now, the project is complete.
Finished up some more Blood Angels, which brings the force up to 1500 points in 2nd edition reckoning.
Dreadnought from Assault on Black Reach, Captain from the multipose Captain kit that was so great, and Terminators from mid 2nd edition era, the metal ones.

Painted up a beast of a Techmarine, finished the other day. Finecast with all its problems, and so many spindly arms. But it's done (absent varnish) and joins my 2nd edition Blood Angels army even though the sculpt is from a few editions later.

Finished up my copy of Lexicanum Varus, a special edition Terminator librarian from a few years back. Started painting it back then, but the model is now complete. With Dark Angles badge instead of Ultramarines, though will be with my Blood Angels.

Photo is of the crate and barrel pieces from the Chronicles of Drunagor Champions & Furniture expansion, by Creative Games Studio. I used an airbrush to do a zenithal undercoat, going from black to grey to white. All base coats (save for the ground) were done with SpeedPaint markers from the Army Painter. I used Hardened Leather for the barrels and crates, Hopelite Gold for the metal bands, and Pallid Bone for the tarps. Once dry, I went over the Hardened Leather with different SpeedPaint colors mixed with SpeedPaint Medium in a 1:1 ratio to get unique shades for each mini. I did the same with Bony Matter and Medium over the tarps. The ground color is Orche Clay.
More #minispainting. I really like #SpeedPaint markers. They'll never replace brushes, but are great for quick work with minimal cleanup. I used them to base coat the barrels & metal bands, crates & tarps, and base rims.

Finished up an old Space Marine chaplain. I've had this model since 1997 or so, and recently decided to give it a new paint job to join my 2nd edition era Blood Angels army.
The right shoulder pad and plasma pistol are probably 3rd edition era.

Photo is of the Mysterious Stranger miniature for the various Fallout tabletop games by Modiphius. I used an airbrush to do a zenithal undercoat, going from black to grey to white. I also used Maxx Darth by Green Stuff World to place some selective shadows in the undercoat. Nearly everything was painted with SpeedPaints by the Army Painter. I did a lot of layering with different paints (most mixed with medium) to get the unique colors I was looking for. SpeedPaints can be a one-coat paint, but I feel that investing extra time and effort to do multiple layers of different paints is worth the results. I'm still sad that Secret Weapon Miniatures is defunct. The scenic base and water effects are from that company.
