๐น๐ฟ When 28-year-old Asha Kombo Khamis from Ubago, Zanzibar, was struck by eclampsia, her life - and her babyโs - hung in the balance.
๐ ๐ง๏ธ Through floods & teamwork, #mmama made her emergency journey - and safe delivery - possible.
Two healthcare workers are attending to a newborn baby in an incubator at a neonatal intensive care unit. Both are wearing pink patterned hospital gowns.
An adult is holding a baby while seated outdoors on a concrete surface. The adult is wearing a blue floral-patterned top and a colorful skirt. The baby is dressed in a red outfit with a blue hat. In the background, there is greenery and wooden structures, suggesting a rural or semi-rural setting.
A group of adults and children are seated on benches in an indoor waiting area. Several adults are holding infants, and two young children stand to the right. The background includes doors, windows, and informational posters on the walls. The individuals are dressed in colorful clothing and appear to be posing for the photo.
