The tank needed 4 more tiny holes for a step, installed later. It was then ready for painting. The final color being predominantly white, I primed with Mr. Surfacer 1500 White & Mr. Color leveling thinner in many thin layers over 2 days. #ZeroleneBuild #HOScale #ModelRailroad #ModelRailway

Installation was a lot of careful effort. The rings ended up being just a tiny bit oversize, but I think it is better than the irregular hand-rolled stanchions I have seen in the past. After installation, 2 thorough cleanings: dishsoap then IPA. #ZeroleneBuild #HOScale #ModelRailroad #ModelRailway

I hold a toothbrush, that has been dipped in white craft paint, and aim it at the midnight purple backdrop of my model railroad. My finger is covered in white paint because I pull my fingertip along the top of the bristles to fling paint at the backdrop, creating white specks to simulate a starfield at night.

The switch at one end of the track with a piece of pc board on top of the rails and another beneath the ends of the points. These will hold the points together so they move as a unit.
