Wednesday 1 April 2026: Hello, April! I’m a bit late with the month ahead for April as I wasn’t sure what I’d be doing towards the end of the month. I was initially keeping everything a bit thin in case we were moving house, but as everything has gone quiet on that front for the timebeing, I decided to fill the time after all. But then I wondered about giving myself a long to-do list at the start of every month.

Tuesday 3 February 2026: Hello, February! I ummed and ahhed a bit about February’s workload and whether or not to include some new short stories. I knew I was already committed to one (12 stories in 12 months), but could I realistically manage many more than that? In the end, I decided I could write another 2 entire stories, revise a third, and start a new one, the new one a novella.

Tuesday 6 January 2026: Hello January! Soooo, I’m still attending light therapy treatment 3 times a week, so that’s still dictating a lot of my working week at the moment.  One job that will now drop by the wayside is the weekly sharing of Diane’s Gig List reminders on Facebook every Thursday. I’d already decided to stop doing this for this year, but now the lady who took it over a few years ago is only sharing the reminder once a month.

Monday 3 November 2025: Hello November! I’m supposed to be starting my light therapy treatment at the dermatology department in Rotherham in November, but I’m still seeing how the collagen supplements are currently going. If my skin seems to be clearing up, I’ll cancel. If it doesn’t, I won’t. Either way, I have to let them know. This isn’t such a big problem any more now that I’m concentrating on fewer jobs at a time.

We’re not going away anywhere, and there are only 3 appointments in my diary, and one of those the poet is supposed to be managing anyway. After 5 months of trying to build a rhythm for work, I think I’ve finally landed on 6 jobs a day. Some of those jobs will take 2 hours/pomodoros.
