Hare darted to the hedgerow. It was her refuge, among the green she found such solace. Rustling leaves comforted her and the hidden space embraced her so tightly that she could almost hear the earth's heartbeat. Surrounded by nature, she waited, gently breathing in the calm.

I painted these as a commission a few years ago on two old door panels, they were painted in isolation from each other about 6 month apart. I didn’t get to see them together until the second one was finished
