"I can't begin to imagine what that horrible ordeal was like for you, and I would not presume to tell you that your feelings are wrong. I cannot tell you how sorry I am, how angry I-" He took a breath, tensing at the thought, halting himself before he gave in to his anger. That wasn't what he needed to do right now. That wasn't what she needed right now. His rage must wait. "Lala… I understand you're hurting, and you're frustrated. But this body is Lala's. My Lala. The one who stood beside me when I was at my lowest, stood beside me in every battle I've faced. The body that survived every unimaginable challenge that has been thrown your way. It's not fair. What you've had to go through is not fair. And if there is anything, anything at all, that I can do to lessen your burden, to comfort you, you have only to ask and I'll do it." Her eyes searched his face, lip quivering as tears fell once more. Different tears, relieved and grateful. "But please, I beg of you. Don't say such things about this body. It houses someone I care for very much."
