Hummingbird hawk moth hovering while feeding from a buddleja flower.

The hummingbird moths are still coming to our buddleja, so I got this today. Amazing creatures.

Yesterday we caught 101 moths in the trap - mostly small ermines. This morning we had 56, but more variety and our first Lime Hawk.

Look who I met coming into work. Aren't they smartly dressed?!

Had another great haul in the moth trap. Maybe they were trying to avoid the heavy rain last night. Over 70 this time and 15 species. No hawk moth or ermines, but many others I've not yet identified.

The moth trap had a bumper haul last night. Over 60 moths (hard to count them all). Probably about 12-15 species. Here are some beauties. Not identified yet.
