The "real economy" is the exchange of goods and services rather than simple financial transactions as in the Stockmark. I guess this qualifies to TreSec Scott Beesent as the 'real' economy.

The ubiquitous 401K disappearing into the morass of a mess that is coming. Don't worry, it's not the real economy. Like magic it will spring back to life even stronger! Just give it a few (10) years.
